Sengchanh Phommaphavanh

A member of the Ordre des acupuncteurs du Québec since 2005, Sengchanh brings a unique perspective to her acupuncture practice through her strong background in nursing. With over 35 years of experience in healthcare, she has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including hospitals, oncology, and palliative care.

Her nursing career has profoundly shaped her approach to acupuncture. Having cared for patients with diverse medical conditions and complex health needs, Sengchanh has developed a deep understanding of the connections between physical health, emotional well-being, and quality of life. This experience allows her to approach each patient with clinical insight, compassion, and a genuine understanding of their individual needs.

One of Sengchanh's particular areas of interest is facial acupuncture. Through advanced training and clinical practice, she has refined her techniques to address more than aesthetic concerns. For Sengchanh, facial acupuncture is also an opportunity to promote relaxation, relieve tension, and support overall well-being. Her treatments combine facial care with the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, emphasizing the relationship between how we feel and how we look.

Sengchanh's practice also encompasses women's health, fertility support, digestive concerns, and a wide range of common health issues. Drawing on her clinical experience and continuing education, she adapts her treatments to each patient's individual needs and health goals.

Originally from Laos, Sengchanh was introduced to traditional Chinese medicine at a young age. Her longstanding interest in this field eventually led her to pursue acupuncture alongside her nursing career. Now retired from nursing, she continues to draw on the knowledge and experience gained from both professions, offering thoughtful, personalized care with a focus on comfort, balance, and long-term well-being.
